I followed in John's footsteps treading on this outside world.
I know the pain he experienced and why he snapped his neck.
This ain't no holiday this life of packing paper bags.
This fucking new society.
I held this gun right up to my throat, I questioned this "What is left for this old reject?"
I tied this rope, wrapped it around my head.
I thought about it, Fuck it all there must be something more.
It's not over, I remember, the instructions to find my happiness.
Say goodbye, I'm starting over, I had a promise and I always keep my fucking word.

I love it. Have to agree with still bummed: this packs an emotional punch but rocks hard. I've played this whole album repeatedly over the last week which is unusual for me. Exhilarating, poignant, intelligent, melodic. Robin Ward
