Time Machine 02:47
Looking in the mirror Jaded old man staring back at me Age shows in his face Surely that guy isn’t me I thought would be wiser And answer all the burning questions that I have But the older I get The more unanswered questions I have More unanswered questions We’re on a time machine Stuck in forward gear Feels like it’s speeding up The passing of each day and year Soon I will blink my eyes Open them and realise Life’s flashed before my eyes And embrace my demise Multiple philosophies Work out flimsy theologies No clearer direction Where’s this divine intervention The one true constant The ruler of infinity Alone, unkind, it’s time It’s time We’re on a time machine Stuck in forward gear Feels like it’s speeding up The passing of each day and year Soon I will blink my eyes Open them and realise Life’s flashed before my eyes And embrace my demise My demise Looking in the mirror These years haven’t been the kindest to you The colour fades in your eyes Your days in the sun Are done and through Did we learn any lessons Pass on our wisdom or deny the truth Coming down on you We’re on a time machine Stuck in forward gear Feels like it’s speeding up The passing of each day and year Soon I will blink my eyes Open them and realise Life’s flashed before my eyes And embrace my demise Embrace your demise Embrace our demise Embrace the demise We’re on a time machine

Well I'll see you around Don't want to stay and drown The drama got too thick Makes me sick And I don't wanna talk about it I already thought about it Stripped down of my pride I shed the tears then dried these eyes Well it was fun at the start But maybe we're world's apart Facing different ways Different plains And I don't wanna drag it out and I just got to get on out and Leave it all behind It's time so don't deny it Well I wanna know... does it show on my face I'm sick of this place I wanna move on, cause the feeling is gone I wanna see... is it me out the door I told you before I wanna have fun, and it's just begun yeah I've seen the light Tried to talk about it If you were ever down for me Just stop... and you'd see You know I'm right And it showed in your eyes What we had shared had run empty So let... it be Let it be I wanna know... does it show on my face I'm sick of this place I wanna move on... now there's one of us gone yeah I wanna see... is it me out the door I said it before I wanna have fun, and it's just begun yeah

about

Hack The Mainframe return with their new single Time Machine. Time Machine is a song about how short life can be, and how time can slip by so quickly when you’re living through each day by day. Then there’s that one day you realise that you’re actually getting older, and now having to come to terms with that realisation.
